Monthly Coffee Date - December

Monthly Coffee with Riz

Hi Reader!

It's time for our monthly coffee date!

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to.

It's December!

Is it really December? Have you started your Christmas decorations? The festive season is one of my favorite times of the year (with one small caveat).

I love the lights and the generally merry atmosphere. I am a bit of a Christmas movie addict (the cheesier the better), and there's always something new for me to watch.

But bestie...what's up with December weather? I never found my winter feet, so the entire month of December involves me slipping, sliding, and trying not to fall (!) every time I walk outside.

(If you're in a warm place, you probably don't have this issue. But here in Toronto, December is when the pavement starts to get icy.)

Tell me what you're up to this month. Share some warm feelings to help prepare me for the Canadian winter.

Comment of the Month

"Wow the best recipe I’ve tried! The pancakes turned out SO fluffy and melted in the mouth, like eating a cloud! And all that even though my kids were helping to make the batter – which was so simple and without any extra steps. Thank you!!!" - Sarah on Fluffy Fluffy Pancakes

Coming up in December

I'm excited to share a few festive emails with you this month, which will include some Christmas-y recipes as well as a few tips to get the most out of your Christmas shopping. Keep an eye on your inbox!

December 4th: National Cookie Day (Wait, that's today!)

December 25th: Christmas

December 26th: Boxing Day

December 31st: New Year's Eve

And now it's your turn to hit REPLY and let me know what's happening in your life.

See you at our next coffee date...next YEAR (haha)!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Raspberry Cheesecake Cookies

Given that it's National Cookie Day, I guess I have no choice but to share this cookie recipe.

These are actually super easy to make, and perfect as a sweet little snack.

It's much better now), and I read a few comic books after years of not touching even one....

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to. What's been happening with me I did something a little out of character in February. I went on a winter holiday! Usually, as a summer child, I go looking for warmer climates whenever possible. Last week, I put...

What's been happening with me I started the year running! I don't mean physically running (I refuse to run if nothing is chasing me), but work-wise. My day-job has been busy, and it's definitely meant that...
