Monthly Coffee Date - February

Monthly Coffee with Riz

Hi Reader!

It's time for our monthly coffee date!

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to.

What's been happening with me

I started the year running! I don't mean physically running (I refuse to run if nothing is chasing me), but work-wise. My day-job has been busy, and it's definitely meant that I've had a little less time to relax.

Some days have been more stressed than others, and a friend recommend I look into the Wim Hof Breathing Method. Have you heard of it? I'm only just learning about it, but it seems to be a system for deep breathing. (And its founder seems to be very found of ice baths.)

Secrets! Oh my!

I mentioned in last month's coffee date that I'm working on some super secret projects. Well, I'm still working on them, but I'm excited to share them with you soon.

Don't worry though. I've not forgotten you, and have been hard at work developing some lovely new recipes to share with you!otis

Comment of the Month

"This is soooo good!!! I simply love honey so this is a quick and easy way to enjoy it!! It almost tastes like a really thick pancake with the extra drizzle of honey as syrup. I eat it as is. My husband adds a scoop of ice cream on top. Great recipe!! Thanks for sharing!!" - Nicole on Honey Mug Cake

Coming up in February

I have a few recipes coming out this month, and we're mostly focusing on warm comforting staples (perfect for a cold month like February). But next? Keep your eyes open for an easy Ruby Hot Chocolate recipe to make for your Valentine!

February 14th: Valentine's Day <3

All Month: National Bake for Family Fun Month

And now it's your turn to hit REPLY and let me know what's happening in your life.

See you next month!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Egyptian Vermicelli Rice

Egyptian rice (roz bel shareya) is a staple of Egyptian cuisine. It's cooked with vermicelli noodles, and pairs wonderfully with many recipes, but is typically eaten alongside meat or vegetables.

We pair it with plenty of different things at home, but chicken and lamb are our favorites.

It's much better now), and I read a few comic books after years of not touching even one....

Last week, I put...

I'll love that we could find a little time for each other today! Happy New Year! Can you believe it's already 2024? I hope you had a wonderful end to 2023. We didn't do anything crazy. We had a small Christmas party with a few friends, and were taking care of a friend's cat so it was a quiet start to the new year....
