Monthly Coffee Date - March

Monthly Coffee with Riz

Hi Reader!

It's time for our monthly coffee date!

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to.

What's been happening with me

I did something a little out of character in February. I went on a winter holiday! Usually, as a summer child, I go looking for warmer climates whenever possible. Last week, I put on my big boy pants and decided to try something a little different.

I visited Banff, Alberta! It was cold. But beautiful. If you've never visited before, it really is a sight to behold.

Comment of the Month

"Waaay back in 1966 we met a chef from Valencia and he would make Paella on Sunday. It was fabulous. Paella Valenciana. It had seafood, chicken and rabbit in it. Thank you for your recipe. I will try it. I love Paella but have never made it as good as Cesar." - Lynne on Paella Valenciana

Coming up in March

Later this week, I'll be sharing a recipe for Klepon! This is an Indonesian snack that hasn't quite made it to North America just yet. I'm curious to know your thoughts!

March 8th: International Women's Day

March 10th: Ramadan begins

March 17th: St. Patricks Day

March 29th: Good Friday

March 31st: Easter Sunday

March is a pretty eventful month. In addition to all of the above, we have Pi Day, the Academy Awards, March Madness, Earth Hour AND...it's National Peanut Month. (Talk about being an overachiever!)

And now it's your turn to hit REPLY and let me know what's happening in your life.

See you next month!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Japanese Pancakes

These Japanese Pancakes are a soft, airy cotton candy-like pancake dream come true.

Dress them up in whipped cream, rain down the maple syrup, or try out the tiramisu topping recipe I provide – they come out delicious every which way!

Monthly Coffee with Riz Chocolates & Chai Hi Reader! Happy 2024! It's time for our first monthly coffee date of the New Year. Look at us hanging out on the first day of the year. I'll love that we could find a little time for each other today! Happy New Year! Can you believe it's already 2024? I hope you had a wonderful end to 2023. We didn't do anything crazy. We had a small Christmas party with a few friends, and were taking care of a friend's cat so it was a quiet start to the new year....
